Orange Baked Brie in Puff Pastry
A Nice baked brie recipe to try !
INGREDIENTS
* ½ cup Orange marmalade
* 2 tablespoons grand marnier
* 1 packet frozen Puff pastry separated and each piece rolled into an 8" by 8" square
* 450 g wheel of Brie Cheese
* 1 Egg lightly whisked

INSTRUCTIONS

* Preheat oven to 400°F .
* Whisk the marmalade and Grand Marnier together and set aside.
* Lay a puff pastry square on a flat work surface and place the brie wheel in the center.
* Using a paring knife, cut around the Brie to form a circle that is the same size as the cheese.
* Reserve the scraps of pastry for decorative shapes and set the circle aside.
* Lay the second sheet of puff on the work surface and trim off the corners, to create a large, rough circle.
* Place the Brie in the center and spoon on the marmalade mixture.
* There should be an opening at the top of the cheese.
* Brush the top edges of pastry with the egg and then lay the reserved circle over the top and press down lightly to seal it.
* Brush the top and sides of the package with more egg wash and decorate the top with pastry shapes.
* Place on a parchment lined baking sheet and freeze for 1 hour before baking.
* Bake for 30 minutes, or until the pastry is golden, and cheese is warmed through, and just beginning to melt.

Baked Brie with Cranberries Recipe in Puff Pastry

A great baked brie recipe to try !
Ingredients:
  • 1 sheet frozen puff pastry, thawed
  • 1 (8 oz.) round of triple-cream brie
  • 2-3 tbsp. toasted sliced almonds
  • 1/4 C. prepared port-and-fig cranberry sauce (click for recipe)
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 3 tbsp. whipping cream

Instructions:
1. Preheat the oven to 425 degrees F and lightly oil a flat baking sheet.
2. Roll out your thawed sheet of puff pastry a bit.
3. Put your wheel of brie on top of the pastry. Leave the rind on the cheese for the best result.
4. Spread cranberry sauce (or the filling of your choice) over top of the brie. Sprinkle with almonds.
5. Wrap pastry sheet up around cheese and make a little bundle on top. If you want a really clean presentation, you can put the almonds and cranberries directly on the pastry and put the cheese on top of them, bundle the pastry up and trim as needed, then flip the package over before baking. This will give your baked brie puff pastry recipe a cleaner presentation. But it's up to you how you'd like to assemble it!

6. Place your pastry-wrapped brie on the prepared baking sheet.
7. In a small bowl, whisk together egg yolk and whipping cream.
8. With a pastry brush, brush top and sides of pastry with egg/cream mixture. This will give your baked brie with cranberries a nice glossy finish.
9. Bake until puffed and golden brown, about 20 to 25 minutes. Let this baked brie recipe cool about 5 minutes before serving. The baked brie recipe is ready to serve..hmmm..nice ! Enjoy it !

BAKED BRIE WITH STRAWBERRIES

INGREDIENTS
  • 1 (1 to 1 1/2 lb.) unsliced round loaf whole grain bread
  • 1 (1 1/2 to 2 lb.) round Brie cheese with rind, 6 to 8 inches in diameter
  • Fresh strawberries
  • Apple slices
  • Lemon juice

INSTRUCTIONS
Slice 1/2 inch off the top of the bread and save for another use. Cut loaf as directed at right. If necessary, trim cheese into a circle 2 inches smaller than the diameter of the bread. Insert cheese into bread, then wrap in foil. Bake in a 350 degree oven for about 30 minutes or until heated through.
Top with strawberries and apple slices dipped in lemon juice.
Slice into wedges to serve. Serves 16 to 20.
To make a bread shell, insert toothpicks in a circle around the top of the cut loaf, 1 inch from the edges. Use a serrated knife to cut down through the loaf around the toothpicks, leaving a base 1 inch thick. use your fingers to gently remove the center.

Use your microwave oven to make baked Brie without the bread.
Place 1 (4 1/2 ounce) round Brie cheese, rind removed, in a small non-metal shallow baking dish. Sprinkle with broken pecans or walnuts. Microwave, uncovered, on 100% power (high) about 30 seconds or until the cheese begins to melt and lose its shape. The baked brie recipe is ready to serve immediately with fresh fruit or unsalted crackers.

BAKED BRIE WITH CRANBERRY CHUTNEY

INGREDIENTS
  • 2/3 c. water
  • 2/3 c. sugar
  • 1 1/3 c. cranberries
  • 4 tsp. cider vinegar
  • 1/3 c. dark raisins
  • 1/4 c. chopped pecans
  • 2 tsp. brown sugar
  • Scant 1/4 tsp. ginger
  • 1/2 tsp. chopped garlic
  • 2 1/4 lb. wheel of Brie cheese
  • 1 loaf French bread cut in thin slices or party loaf pumpernickel bread

INSTRUCTIONS
To make chutney: In a heavy saucepan combine water and sugar.
Stir and bring to a boil. Add cranberries, vinegar, nuts, sugar, ginger and garlic. Boil slowly, stirring until thick, 5-10 minutes. Cool and refrigerate. It will keep in refrigerator up to 1 week or it can be frozen.
To serve: Place Brie in an ovenproof shallow dish. Spread chutney over top of cheese. Bake at 350 degrees 5-10 minutes watching carefully so as not to melt brie, just to soften it. Serve with slices of bread. The baked brie recipe is ready to serve....nice one ! Enjoy !

BAKED BRIE RECIPE IN PHYLLO

INGREDIENTS
  • 1/4 c. apricot preserves; optional
  • 1/2 lb. wheel Brie or Camembert cheese
  • 1/2 lb frozen phyllo dough, 10-12 sheets, thawed
  • 1/2 c. butter, melted
  • Fresh dill weed; optional
  • Red and green grapes; optional
  • Apples, sliced; optional
  • Pears, sliced; optional
INSTRUCTIONS
1. Spread preserves on top of the Brie.
2. Wrap the Brie in thawed phyllo dough one sheet at a time, brushing each sheet with melted butter. (Keep unused phyllo covered with damp cloth while wrapping Brie.)
3. Turn cheese over after applying each sheet of phyllo for even distribution.
4. Brush phyllo-wrapped Brie with butter.
5. Cover; refrigerate.
6. Before serving, place the phyllo-wrapped cheese in a shallow baking pan. Bake in a 425 degree oven 8-12 minutes or until golden. Let stand 10 minutes. Garnish with optional dill weed and fruit if desired. Serve with crackers. Baby Brie in Phyllo: Prepare Baked Brie in Phyllo as directed above except use 2 tablespoons apricot preserves, substitute two 4 1/2 ounce packages Brie or Camembert cheese for the 2 pound wheel; use 1/4 pound phyllo dough (six sheets) and 1/4 cup melted butter.

Combine as above, dividing preserved, phyllo, and butter between the cheese rounds. Makes 2 rounds, 8-10 servings each. The baked brie recipe in phyllo is ready...enjoy it !

Easy Baked Brie

Easy Baked Brie...try this nice baked brie recipe...great !

Ingredients:
  • 1 wheel brie
  • 3 - 4 Tbsp. apricot chutney
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
  • 1 package puff pastry
  • 2 tbsp. butter, melted
INSTRUCTIONS
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cut puff pastry sheets into rounds, about 2 inches larger than your brie. Brush one round with melted butter, place brie in the center. Spoon chutney over brie, sprinkle with nuts. Brush remaining round with butter and place over brie.
Fold pastry edges up and roll to seal. Brush with butter and Bake for 15 minutes or until golden. Serve warm. The baked brie recipe is ready to serve....enjoy it !

Baked Brie with Apples and Pecans

INGREDIENTS
  • 1 sheet(s) puff pastry
  • 230 g Brie cheese
  • 4 tbsp apple filling, see database
  • 60 g pecans, chopped
  • 1 medium egg, white only, slighty beaten

INSTRUCTIONS
Preheat oven to 200ÂșC. Bring refrigerated pastry sheet to room temperature but do not remove packaging.Place wheel of brie on a plate and cover with apple filling. Top with nuts.

When pastry sheet has reached room temperature, remove the packaging. Fold the brie into the pastry sheets and place onto a greased baking pan. Pinch pastry together to seal and trim off
excess pastry.
Brush pastry sheet with egg white.
Bake 20-25 minutes or until crust is light golden brown.The baked brie recipe with apples and pecans is ready serve...enjoy it ! Delicious !
