Baked Brie with Dried Cherries & Thyme

BAKED BRIE RECIPE INGREDIENTS
  • 1/2-lb. wheel of Brie (about 4-inch diameter), at room temperature
  • 1 sheet frozen puff pastry, thawed
  • 1/3 cup dried cherries, coarsely chopped
  • 2 tsp. chopped fresh thyme
  • 1 Tbs. unsalted butter, melted

BAKED BRIE RECIPE INSTRUCTIONS
Position a rack in the center of the oven and heat the oven to 425°F.

Slice off the top rind of the Brie and discard. On a sheet of waxed paper or parchment, roll the pastry out to a 12-inch square and cut two 6-inch rounds from it. Put one of the rounds on a small rimmed baking sheet, sprinkle with half of the dried cherries and thyme, leaving a 1/2-inch border around the edge, and gently press so they adhere.

Set the Brie, rind side down, on top of the pastry, sprinkle with the remaining cherries and thyme, and cover with the other pastry. Crimp the edges together to seal in the cheese. Brush the top of the dough with the butter. Bake until the pastry browns, about 20 minutes. Let cool for 15 to 20 minutes and then the baked brie is ready to serve...enjoy it !

Baked Brie and Red Pepper Jelly Wrapped in Phyllo Pastry


Baked Brie Recipe Ingredients

* 6 phyllo pastry sheets, thawed
* 1/3 cup butter, melted
* 3/4 lb brie round, chilled (I use a triple cream brie)
* 1/4 cup red pepper jelly

BAKED BRIE RECIPE INSTRUCTIONS

1.Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
2.Place brie on flat surface and with sharp knife, slice Brie in half horizontally.
3.(This is much easier to do if Brie is nicely chilled first).
4.Spread red pepper jelly on bottom half of Brie and then replace top half of brie and set aside.
5.Using a pastry brush, brush butter on first sheet of phyllo, place a second sheet on top at roughly a 30 degree angle, brush with butter, place third sheet on top at roughly a 30 degree angle from the first, brush with butter and continue until all sheets have been used.
6.
(The reason for placing the sheets on angles is that you'll end up with a larger surface which makes for easier wrapping and it also gives you a more interesting presentation as you bring all the sheets together).
7.Place Brie in centre of phyllo and gently pull all the sheets up and over the Brie, twisting closed at the top.
8.Arrange the sheets in the"twist" in various directions.
9.Brush entire package with melted butter.
10.Bake for 30-35 minutes.
11.Set aside for 5-10 minutes before serving.
12. Serve with crackers or thinly sliced baguette.

BAKED BRIE RECIPE INGREDIENTS
  • 1 (4 or 8 oz.) round of Brie cheese (it must be uncut with the edible white casing intact)
  • butter
  • Almonds, slivered

BAKED BRIE RECIPE INSTRUCTIONS
Place cheese on oven proof plate (a pie plate works well). Spread top with butter; cover with almonds. Bake at 350 degrees for 10-12 minutes, depending on size. Center should feel soft when you push down with a spoon. Serve warm with sliced French bread or crackers.
Served with fruit, it makes a nice luncheon. The baked brie recipe is ready to serve....enjoy the brie !

Baked Brie with Caramelized Onions
BAKED BRIE RECIPE INGREDIENTS

* 2 tablespoons (1/4 stick) butter
* 8 cups sliced onions (about 4 large)
* 1 tablespoon minced fresh thyme
* 4 garlic cloves, chopped
* 1/2 cup dry white wine
* 1 teaspoon sugar
* 1 8-inch-diameter 32- to 36-ounce French Brie, packed in wooden box (reserve box)
* 2 French bread baguettes, sliced

BAKED BRIE RECIPE INSTRUCTIONS
Melt butter in heavy very large skillet over medium-high heat. Add onions; sauté until just tender, about 6 minutes. Add minced thyme, reduce heat to medium and cook until onions are golden, stirring often, about 25 minutes. Add garlic and sauté 2 minutes. Add 1/4 cup wine; stir until almost all liquid evaporates, about 2 minutes. Sprinkle sugar over onions and sauté until soft and brown, about 10 minutes. Add remaining 1/4 cup wine; stir just until liquid evaporates, about 2 minutes. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Cool. (Can be prepare 2 days ahead. Cover and refrigerate.)

Preheat oven to 350°F. Unwrap Brie, reserving bottom of wooden box. Cut away only top rind of cheese, leaving rind on sides and bottom intact. Return Brie to box, rind side down. Place box on baking sheet. Top Brie evenly with onion mixture. Bake until cheese just melts, about 30 minutes. Transfer Baked Brie in box to platter. Surround with baguette slices...nice ! Enjoy the baked brie !

Baked Brie with Cherry Chutney

Baked Brie Recipes Ingredients:

* 1/2 cup dried cherries
* 1 lb. dark sweet cherries, pitted and chopped
* 3/4 cup brown sugar
* 1 Granny Smith apple, peeled and finely chopped
* 1/2 cup finely chopped onion
* 1/3 cup apple cider vinegar
* 1/4 tsp. allspice
* 1/4 tsp. cinnamon
* 1/2 tsp. salt
* 2 tablespoons cornstarch
* 8 oz. wheel brie or camembert cheese

Baked Brie Recipes Instructions
Combine all ingredients except brie in heavy saucepan and stir to mix. Bring to a boil over medium high heat. Reduce heat to medium low and cook gently for 45-50 minutes until thickened, stirring occasionally. Cool at least one hour before serving.

Heat brie in the microwave on HIGH for 30 seconds to one minute, or until softened. Pour 1 cup cherry chutney over brie and serve with crackers and french bread.

You can also bake the brie at 350 degrees F for 10-15 minutes until softened...enjoy it !

BAKED BRIE RECIPE INGREDIENTS
  • 1 pkg. refrigerator crescent rolls
  • 1 (8 oz.) Brie cheese
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1/2 c. chopped nuts

BAKED BRIE RECIPE INSTRUCTIONS
Heat oven 375 degrees.
Two rectangles of dough on an ungreased cookie sheet. Press 8x5, slam down the dough. Wrap the cheese ball in the dough. Brush with egg. Sprinkle with nuts. Bake at 375, 12-15 minutes. Let stand 2-5 minutes before serving. The baked brie recipe is ready to serve with apple slices and pear slices..enjoy it !

Baked Brie Recipe Ingredients

* 1 large sheet of puff pastry dough or 1 tube of refrigerated crescent dinner rolls
* 1 round or wedge of Brie cheese (do not remove rind)
* Raspberry Jam, or other sweet jam
* Brown sugar
* 1/4 cup of maple syrup

BAKED BRIE RECIPE INSTRUCTIONS
1 Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
2 On a stick-free cookie sheet, lay out the puff pastry or the crescent rolls flat; put brie round or wedge on top.
2 Spread jam on brie, fold dough over top, cutting off excess dough.
Drizzle maple syrup and place a handful of brown sugar on top.
3 Bake at 350º for 25-30 minutes, pastry should be golden brown. Let cool for 10 minutes before serving. Serve with crackers and apple slices. The baked brie recipe is ready to serve...enjoy the dessert !
