BAKED BRIE WITH STRAWBERRIES

BAKED BRIE WITH STRAWBERRIES

INGREDIENTS
  • 1 (1 to 1 1/2 lb.) unsliced round loaf whole grain bread
  • 1 (1 1/2 to 2 lb.) round Brie cheese with rind, 6 to 8 inches in diameter
  • Fresh strawberries
  • Apple slices
  • Lemon juice

INSTRUCTIONS
Slice 1/2 inch off the top of the bread and save for another use. Cut loaf as directed at right. If necessary, trim cheese into a circle 2 inches smaller than the diameter of the bread. Insert cheese into bread, then wrap in foil. Bake in a 350 degree oven for about 30 minutes or until heated through.
Top with strawberries and apple slices dipped in lemon juice.
Slice into wedges to serve. Serves 16 to 20.
To make a bread shell, insert toothpicks in a circle around the top of the cut loaf, 1 inch from the edges. Use a serrated knife to cut down through the loaf around the toothpicks, leaving a base 1 inch thick. use your fingers to gently remove the center.

Use your microwave oven to make baked Brie without the bread.
Place 1 (4 1/2 ounce) round Brie cheese, rind removed, in a small non-metal shallow baking dish. Sprinkle with broken pecans or walnuts. Microwave, uncovered, on 100% power (high) about 30 seconds or until the cheese begins to melt and lose its shape. The baked brie recipe is ready to serve immediately with fresh fruit or unsalted crackers.

BAKED BRIE RECIPE IN PHYLLO

INGREDIENTS
  • 1/4 c. apricot preserves; optional
  • 1/2 lb. wheel Brie or Camembert cheese
  • 1/2 lb frozen phyllo dough, 10-12 sheets, thawed
  • 1/2 c. butter, melted
  • Fresh dill weed; optional
  • Red and green grapes; optional
  • Apples, sliced; optional
  • Pears, sliced; optional
INSTRUCTIONS
1. Spread preserves on top of the Brie.
2. Wrap the Brie in thawed phyllo dough one sheet at a time, brushing each sheet with melted butter. (Keep unused phyllo covered with damp cloth while wrapping Brie.)
3. Turn cheese over after applying each sheet of phyllo for even distribution.
4. Brush phyllo-wrapped Brie with butter.
5. Cover; refrigerate.
6. Before serving, place the phyllo-wrapped cheese in a shallow baking pan. Bake in a 425 degree oven 8-12 minutes or until golden. Let stand 10 minutes. Garnish with optional dill weed and fruit if desired. Serve with crackers. Baby Brie in Phyllo: Prepare Baked Brie in Phyllo as directed above except use 2 tablespoons apricot preserves, substitute two 4 1/2 ounce packages Brie or Camembert cheese for the 2 pound wheel; use 1/4 pound phyllo dough (six sheets) and 1/4 cup melted butter.

Combine as above, dividing preserved, phyllo, and butter between the cheese rounds. Makes 2 rounds, 8-10 servings each. The baked brie recipe in phyllo is ready...enjoy it !

Easy Baked Brie

Easy Baked Brie...try this nice baked brie recipe...great !

Ingredients:
  • 1 wheel brie
  • 3 - 4 Tbsp. apricot chutney
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
  • 1 package puff pastry
  • 2 tbsp. butter, melted
INSTRUCTIONS
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cut puff pastry sheets into rounds, about 2 inches larger than your brie. Brush one round with melted butter, place brie in the center. Spoon chutney over brie, sprinkle with nuts. Brush remaining round with butter and place over brie.
Fold pastry edges up and roll to seal. Brush with butter and Bake for 15 minutes or until golden. Serve warm. The baked brie recipe is ready to serve....enjoy it !

Baked Brie with Apples and Pecans









Baked Brie with Apples and Pecans

INGREDIENTS
  • 1 sheet(s) puff pastry
  • 230 g Brie cheese
  • 4 tbsp apple filling, see database
  • 60 g pecans, chopped
  • 1 medium egg, white only, slighty beaten

INSTRUCTIONS
Preheat oven to 200ÂșC. Bring refrigerated pastry sheet to room temperature but do not remove packaging.Place wheel of brie on a plate and cover with apple filling. Top with nuts.

When pastry sheet has reached room temperature, remove the packaging. Fold the brie into the pastry sheets and place onto a greased baking pan. Pinch pastry together to seal and trim off
excess pastry.
Brush pastry sheet with egg white.
Bake 20-25 minutes or until crust is light golden brown.The baked brie recipe with apples and pecans is ready serve...enjoy it ! Delicious !

BAKED BRIE

BAKED BRIE ..A nice baked brie recipe to try !

INGREDIENTS
  • 1 lb. round brie cheese
  • 8 sheets phyllo dough
  • Brown sugar
  • Chopped pecans
  • Melted butter
INSTRUCTIONS
On a jelly roll pan, layer 4 sheets of phyllo dough - painting each with melted butter. Place the brie on top of the sheets. Paint the top of the brie with melted butter and about a 1/4 inch thick layer of brown sugar. Top with pecans and drizzle with melted butter. Wrap the ends of the dough up over the top. Layer another 4 phyllo sheets on top of the pile and tuck under the whole thing. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. The baked brie recipe is ready to serve with crackers. Great taste ! Enjoy it !

ROASTED GARLIC WITH BAKED BRIE

ROASTED GARLIC WITH BAKED BRIE RECIPE

INGREDIENTS
  • 1 lg. garlic bulb
  • Olive oil
  • 1 wedge of Brie cheese
  • French bread

INSTRUCTIONS
Prepare as one large portion for everyone to share or individually. Adjust amount of garlic and size of cheese accordingly.
Cut off top of garlic until bulbs are just exposed. Put garlic in a pan and drizzle with olive oil. Bake at 350 degrees for one hour.
Remove from oven and let set. Put Brie in small au gratin or baking dish. Put in oven at 350 degrees until melted. Remove and put garlic in dish next to cheese. Remove garlic with fork to eat and spread on French bread. Spread cheese on top and the baked brie recipe is ready to serve.....enjoy it !

BAKED BRIE POTATOES RECIPE

INGREDIENTS
  • 6 baking potatoes
  • 12 oz. cold brie cheese-rinds removed, then dice
  • 1/3 c. diced chives
  • 1/3 c. unsalted butter, cut in bits
  • 1 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. ground pepper
  • 1/2 tsp. Beau Monde seasoning

INSTRUCTIONS
Cook potatoes in salted water until tender. Drain and peel. Coarsely mash potatoes. Fold in remaining ingredients. Bake at 450 degrees until hot, about 10-15 minutes. The baked brie recipe is ready to serve....great taste ! Enjoy it !
